H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center in Shippensburg, Pa., and Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick, Md.,

have not formally announced their 2009-2010 performance schedules yet, but we gained a sneak peek by Googling around and doing some digging.

Found at online ticket sellers' Web sites and confirmed at the artists' Web sites, the acts' touring outfits or with the venues were:

Luhrs Center

  • Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Messina on Sept. 17

  • America, a folk rock band, on Oct. 17

  • Kenny Rogers, 2009 Christmas & Hits Tour, on Sunday, Dec. 6

  • Peking Acrobats on Tuesday, March 2, 2010

    Tickets for the Luhrs' upcoming season go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. Monday, July 27.

    The Luhrs' full season will be announced in early July.

    Weinberg Center

  • Seldom Scene, a bluegrass band, on Saturday, Oct. 17

  • The Machine, a Pink Floyd tribute band, on Saturday, Oct. 24

  • Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats on Friday, Nov. 20

  • Cherish the Ladies, a Celtic/folk/roots group, on Sunday, Nov. 22

  • Second City, the improv comedy troupe, on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010

  • Natalie MacMaster, fiddle player, on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010

    Tickets for the Weinberg's upcoming season go on sale to members at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, and to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7.


The Weinberg's full season will be announced in mid-July.
