Vilma Mae Winters, 82, of Sycamore Drive, Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born April 15, 1927, in Chewsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Leida Mae (Harshman) Hoover.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Winters, March 16, 1994.
She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was employed by Nicodemus Bank of Hagerstown.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Chewsville.
She is survived by her son, Chris S. Winters, and fiance, Naoual, of Fayetteville, Ga., and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Marvin Hoover and Orville Hoover.
The service is Friday May 15, 2009, at 10 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with the Rev. John W. Schildt and Pastor Bill Warehime officiating. Burial will be in Smithsburg Cemetery.
