Pizza burgers



Cost per serving, using ground beef, is 92 cents for 10 servings and 69 cents for 15 servings. Prices from Martin's Food Market on Wesel Boulevard in Hagerstown.

1 1/2 pounds of ground beef, ground chuck or ground venison
12 ounces of pizza sauce
1/4 cup water
2 cups shredded mozzarella
10 to 15 hot dog rolls

Sauté the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking up the meat as it browns.

Drain the grease from the pan.

Add the pizza sauce to the meat. Add water bit by bit to expand the pizza sauce so the sauce gets throughout the meat.

Bring meat mixture to a boil. Turn heat to low.

Sprinkle cheese on top.

Once the cheese has melted, scoop the meat mixture into hot dog rolls.

Serves 10 to 15
