HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania residents can now check the status of Property Tax/Rent Rebate program applications online at www.papropertytaxrelief.com, Sen. Richard Alloway II, R-Franklin, said in a news release.
Alloway said the Department of Revenue hosts the new Web site to provide information on claim status, rebate amount and the date a rebate is expected to be mailed or direct-deposited. Six weeks after a resident has submitted a Property Tax/Rent Rebate application, he or she may check claim status by visiting the site and entering the following information:
o Social Security number
o Anticipated rebate amount
o Date of birth
Alloway said the department will begin distributing checks on July 1.
