Children sought for 'The Hobbit' musical



THURMONT, Md. - Thurmont Thespians will hold open auditions for children ages 6 to 14 for its summer children's musical, "The Hobbit," from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 16; and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, at St. John's Lutheran Church social hall, 15 N. Church St.

Auditions open for 'Sweet Charity'



CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Auditions for "Sweet Charity" will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Old Opera House, 204 N. George St. Prepare a Broadway-style show tune to sing and bring the sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Dress in comfortable clothing and be ready to dance.

Actors sought for New Voice Play fest

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Auditions for New Voice Play Festival will be at 7 p.m. Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, at Opera House, 204 N. George St. An opportunity to perform a role that has never before been performed before on any stage. The plays will be presented Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28.
