May 09, 2009|By ERIN CUNNINGHAM and DAVE MCMILLION

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- The Herald-Mail asked Washington County Public Schools students to talk about what makes their mothers so special in honor of today, Mother's Day.

Students described their mothers as loving, caring and beautiful, but said a stern side is exposed when they refuse to clean their rooms or take care of the family pet.

Mothers in Washington County are good at cooking, playing and laughing. But most of all, some students said what their mothers need most is a vacation.

The Herald-Mail interviewed 19 students from three elementary schools and two middle schools.
