Ben Love scored six goals, Tyler Hutson added four and Winters Mill ended North Hagerstown's boys lacrosse season with a 17-0 shutout in the Maryland Class 3A/2A West first round Friday at Mike Callas Stadium.
Winters Mill (8-6) was the home team, but the game was played at North (2-10) because of poor field conditions at Winters Mill.
The Falcons wasted little time making the Hubs' artificial-turf field feel like home.
Love scored the game's first four goals and five of the six goals Winters Mill scored in the first quarter. Hutson scored three of his four goals in the second quarter as the Falcons rolled to a 12-0 halftime lead.
"They're a precise team," Hubs coach Dave Tallant said. "They can throw and catch under pressure and they're comfortable around the crease. They have great players and they played well. We knew what was coming at us."
