WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Waynesboro police thwarted what is being called an attempted senior prank at Waynesboro Senior High School early Friday morning, a press release from the Waynesboro Police Department said.
Police charged Edwin Santiago, 18, 11658 Blue Mountain Drive in Waynesboro, and a 17-year-old girl with felonious criminal trespass, the release said. Santiago and the girl also are facing disciplinary action through the school.
Police went to the school at about 1:45 a.m. Friday after someone reported intruders had entered the building, the release said. No one was found to be inside of the school after a search, but police were able to gather descriptions of the culprits from surveillance video.
The release said that police found Santiago and the girl in a truck near the school. They allegedly admitted their involvement, saying they planned "to write names on a dry erasure board using permanent markers and rolling paint balls on the hallway floors of the school," according to the release.
