Library events

The Washington County Free Library, 100 S. Potomac St., has a lot planned for the community over the next few months.

Just to list a few things in May:

o With Mother's Day Sunday approaching, join Mr. Jeff today for a story time celebrating mothers.

o Join the master gardeners on the front patio for a series of plant clinics starting Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Two more clinics will be held June 13 and July 11. Be sure to bring questions.

o Next week, from May 11-17, the library will host Children's Book Week. Children can create a bookmark to be entered in the bookmark contest.

o On Tuesday, the "Easy Picture Book Contest" winner reception will be at 7 p.m. in the lower meeting room to celebrate this year's winners, so stop by and join in the celebration.

o Mark your calendars for the month if you are interested in taking some computer classes such as Microsoft PowerPoint on May 13 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m.; Internet Basics on May 21 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. and e-mail on May 28 from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m.
