Florence "Lorraine" Hose, 81

CLEAR SPRING, Md. - Florence "Lorraine" Hose, 81, of Clear Spring, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Washington County Hospital.

Born March 1, 1928, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Maude Painter Halstead.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church of Clear Spring, where she was the caretaker with her husband, Paul, for 41 years.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul D. Hose Sr.; four sons, Paul D. Hose Jr. and his wife, Toni, of Clear Spring, Steve L. Hose and wife, Teresa, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Randy L. Hose Sr. and his wife, Beverly, of Hagerstown, and Dennis W. Hose of Hagerstown; one daughter, Mary Ellen Hose of Stephens City, Va.; nine grandchildren, Christine Caldwell, David Hose, Steve W. Hose, Tammy Baker, Randy Hose Jr., Kimberly Hose, Jarett Hose, Danielle Lewis and Nicholas Lewis; eight great-grandchildren, Hailey Caldwell, Lakyn Hose, Taylor Hose, Dylan Bishop, Macy Baker, Aaron Beckwith, Noah Hose and Faith Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Meridith Halstead and Leonard Halstead; and five sisters, Ruth Poper, Violet Brocato, Anna Calouhone, Margaret Payne and Mary Parker.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, Md., with Monsignor Alfred E. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

There will be no viewing.
