Junior Football League registration



Washington County Junior Football League registration will be held through Friday, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at the Nike outlet at Prime Outlets at Hagerstown.

Registration also will be held at The Herald-Mail Food Court at Valley Mall on May 28, 29 and 30, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and on May 31, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Tryouts will be held June 15-17 (with a rain date of June 18) at Williamsport High School.

Spring craft show going on at Valley Mall



Visit Valley Mall in Halfway beginning Friday for the annual spring craft show. Many vendors will be set up throughout the mall with craft items for purchase through Sunday.

Hager House bonnet making event planned



Visit the Jonathan Hager House Saturday, May 16, to learn how to make your own frontier bonnet and apron. The staff at the Hager House will show you how in this two-hour workshop. The cost is $55 per person, which includes materials. Very minimal sewing knowledge is required.

This event will be from noon to 2 p.m. and is for ages 7 and older. Registration must be completed by Friday. Call 301-739-8393 to register.

Halfway Park Days set for May 23-24



Visit Martin L. "Marty" Snook Memorial Park in Halfway on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, for the annual Halfway Park Days. Events are planned Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More than 100 arts and crafts items and dealers will be on hand, free entertainment will be provided and the Lions Club of Halfway will sell barbecue chicken. Children's rides also will be available.
