Hagerstown man charged in stabbing

HAGERSTOWN -- A Hagerstown man was in custody Tuesday after a woman was allegedly stabbed and bitten at a Woodlands Run residence, Hagerstown Police said in a news release.

Rickie Holman, 47, was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, police said.

At 2:45 p.m., officers responded to a call of an assault in progress at 1621 Woodlands Run, where they were met by a female who was bleeding from two stab wounds and had suffered multiple bites. She told police she had been stabbed and bitten by Holman, who was found inside the residence and arrested, police said.

The victim was treated at Washington County Hospital for non life-threatening injuries, the release said.
