MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Ryan Larose and Brandon Michael each homered for Musselman, which rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh inning to edge Mercersburg Academy on Saturday.

Mark Clatterbuck had three hits for the Applemen (12-11), while Blaine Coates added two hits. Larose tallied three RBIs and Michael drove in a pair.

Trevor Smith and Dillon French led the Blue Storm (11-2) with two hits and three RBIs apiece, while McArthur Gill had three hits.

North-South game Monday at Municipal Stadium

Monday's baseball game between South Hagerstown and North Hagerstown, scheduled to be played at North, has been moved to Municipal Stadium. The game will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for adults are $4 and $2 for students.

Mercersburg in West Central meet

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Mercersburg Academy, with 16 points, finished 16th in a field of 33 teams in the West Central Coaches Association meet held Friday.

Simion Daniels placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.99 seconds, while Ellis Mays was fourth in the 800-meter dash (2:02.94) and Neb Osman finished fourth in the 3,200-meter run (9:48.38) for Mercersburg.

Bedford won the team title with 68 points.

Mercersburg in West Central meet

ALTOONA, Pa. -- Mercersburg Academy placed ninth out of 32 teams Friday with 26 points in the West Central Coaches Association meet at Mansion Park Stadium.

Asia Walker led the Blue Storm with a second-place finish in the long jump. Her jump of 16 feet, 9 inches broke her own Mercersburg school record, and she also finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.58 seconds.

Kearsten Cubit finished third in the 400-meter dash (1:01.73), while Mackenzie Riford was fourth in the 3200-meter run (12;15.76), Paige Summers placed seventh in the discus (96-9) and Lena Finucane was eighth in the 1600-meter run (5:36.01) for the Blue Storm.

Northern Cambria won the team championship with 107 points.
