NEW EAGLE, Pa. -- Carolyn "Jeannie" Cunningham-Reiff, 61, of New Eagle, Pa., and formerly of Hagerstown, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born May 5, 1947, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Galen W. and Helen (Shoemaker) Mowen and also Harry L. and Sarah C. Cunningham, who raised Jean from infancy.

Jean currently was working as a bakery clerk at the Finleyville Giant Eagle.

She was a 1965 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

Surviving are two sons, Adrian Reiff and fiancée, Heather Terrant, and Jason Reiff, all of New Eagle; one granddaughter, Trista Leigh Reiff, who she loved very much; one brother, Charles E. Cunningham of Hagerstown; three sisters, Vivian C. Wetzel and Orpha Clinic, both of Hagerstown, and Doris M. Darlington of Missouri; and her mother-in-law, Ester Reiff.


Preceding her in death was her husband, Melvin P. Reiff Jr., who died in 1998; one daughter, Stacey Lynn Reiff, who died in 1975; and two brothers, Harry L. Cunningham Jr. and Jack Cunningham.

Mom, let heaven love you as much as we did on earth and we will meet again and embrace forever in the house of the Lord.

A memorial service will be Monday, May 4, at Saint Paul Cemetery, Clear Spring, Md.
