WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Meghan Decker hit a two-run double in the second inning to compliment the one-hit pitching of Taryn Ashway on Saturday as No. 1 Waynesboro remained undefeated in the Mid-Penn Colonial.

Ashway carried a no-hitter until Lynn Murray hit a single with one out in the seventh. She finished with a 14 strikeouts.

Decker's double highlighted a three-run second to put the Maidens (13-1, 6-0) on top to stay. Waynesboro added an insurance run in the fourth.


Danni Miller and Decker finished with two hits each.

McConnellsburg 13, Goretti 10

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- Nate Swope had four hits, including a home run, and drove in six runs in the Spartans' win over the Gaels on Saturday night.

Logan Peck, Drew Wink and Devin Welsh each had two hits for McConnellsburg.

Nic Martin had five hits, including two home runs, and Jay Donoghue hit a grand slam and had two hits for Goretti (5-8). J.J. O'Neill and Aaron Wilkinson each had two hits.

NEWVILLE, Pa. -- Caroline Gleason scored on an assist by Heather Sanders to give Greencastle-Antrim a tie against Big Spring on Saturday.

Krista Kelly made six saves for the Blue Devils, who outshot Big Spring, 23-7.
