KEEDYSVILLE -- Joy Elaine Reese, 60, of Antietam Drive in Keedysville, Md., died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md., surrounded by her family.
Born Nov. 18, 1948, in Boonsboro, Md., she was the daughter of the late Marvin E. and Othelia E. (Ridenour) Reese-Rager.
She attended Boonsboro area schools.
She previously was employed by Washington County Hospital and Williamsport Nursing Home as a nurse's assistant, and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses of Hagerstown.
She was an animal lover who rescued many animals over the years.
She is survived by one daughter, Kim Midgley and husband, Jeff, of Thurmont, Md.; two granddaughters, Amanda Midgley, and Kati Midgley and fiancé, Jon; one nephew, Tim Swartz; and two great-nephews.
