Good morning, friends
Let's get all this rain out of the way, and hopefully by the end of the week, spring will show all its glory. Things promise to warm and brighten up and I, for one, cannot wait.
The Funkstown Volunteer Fire Co. will hold a barbecue Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. Barbecue chicken, open pit beef, Italian and ham sandwiches will be for sale. The Ladies Auxiliary will also be treating your sweet tooth to a bake sale. Stop by and help out the fire company and treat your family to some great food.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown is holding a Relay for Life fundraiser at the Texas Roadhouse Wednesday, April 29, from 4 to 10 p.m.
The restaurant is near Martin's on Dual Highway in Hagerstown.
The Texas Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of the food purchases accompanied by a flier from St. Paul's to Relay for Life. You must have a flier to get the donation, so stop by St. Paul's or contact Karen Flohr at 301-797-0056 to get one.
