HUMMELSTOWN, Pa. -- Kaylee Werner hit a two-run triple as No. 4 Chambersburg shut out No. 3 Greencastle 2-0 in the Lower Dauphin Tournament on Saturday.

Emily Estep threw a three-hitter with seven strikeouts for the Trojans (5-2).

Autumn Appleby threw a three-hitter with nine strikeouts, and Meghin Palmer had two hits for the Blue Devils.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. -- Stacey Beavers hit a two-run double in the top of the seventh to lead Fort Hill over Hedgesville.

Sam Nazelrod had three hits, while Jess Shirley had 16 strikeouts for the Eagles.

Hillary Ware hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to lead Hedgesville past Thomas Johnson.

Paige Reed had three hits, Shirley had two hits, including a double, and Sadie Golliher had two hits for the Eagles (10-3).

HANCOCK -- Caroline Rosenthal struck out 34 hitters -- including a career-high 19 in the first game -- as St. Maria Goretti swept Hancock in a doubleheader.

Brenna Edmunds, Kayla Davies, Emily Steiner and Emma Bartholomew each had two hits and an RBI in the first game for the Gaels (6-8), who took a 5-0 lead in the fourth. The Panthers (5-6) rallied for four runs in the sixth but could not score the tying run.

Alex Penn had three hits and two RBIs, and Davies added three hits and an RBI for Goretti in the second game. Rosenthal and Anne-Marie Koogle each had two hits and three RBIs, Katie Rainey had two hits and two RBIs, and Edmunds added two hits and an RBI for the Gaels.

Berkeley Springs in Bob Riggleman Tournament

MOOREFIELD, W.Va. -- Berkeley Springs went 2-2 and finished fourth out of 13 teams in the Bob Riggleman Tournament. The Indians defeated Pendleton County 11-0 and Washington 11-2 before losing 5-4 to East Hardy and 12-6 to Greenbrier East.

Harlie Statler had two hits and three RBIs, winning pitcher Katie Kesecker added two hits and two RBIs and Alyssa Spielman had two hits in the win over Pendleton County.

Kesecker went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and four RBIs, while Statler chipped in with three hits for the Indians against Washington.

Kat Napsel hit a two-run single in the sixth inning to pull Berkeley Springs into a 4-4 tie with East Hardy before the Indians gave up the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh.

Toni Davison had two hits and drove in three runs and Spielman added two hits and scored twice for the Indians (4-8) in their loss to Greenbrier East.
