HALFWAY - Nicholas James Adenhart, 22, of Halfway, Md., died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at the University of California Irvine Medical Center, Anaheim, Calif.
Born Aug. 24, 1986, in Silver Spring, Md., he was the son of James E. Adenhart of Halfway and Janet A. Bowers Gigeous of Algonquin, Ill.
He was a 2004 graduate of Williamsport High School and also attended Arizona State University.
He was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels.
He was a member of the Major League Baseball Players Association.
He was a lifelong Washington Redskins football fan.
He enjoyed music, and time with friends and family.
Besides his parents, survivors include stepfather, Duane R. Gigeous of Algonquin; brother, Henry Gigeous of Algonquin; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Bowers of Halfway; paternal grandparents, James R. and Constance G. Adenhart of Fairplay, Md.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
