BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Lola Mae Unger, 83, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born March 17, 1926, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Mary Elizabeth Schriver Harden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Arthur Unger, in 1968.

She attended Mount Wesley and Great Cacapon schools.

She had worked in tomato canneries.

She was a member of Trinity Asbury United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Paul A. Unger Jr. of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Norma Offord and Freda Swink, both of Berkeley Springs; one brother, James A. Harden of Berkeley Springs; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma E. Hovermale; and one brother, Lester Harden.

The service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Steve Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at noon.
