ADHD program



THURMONT, Md. -Families Plus will sponsor a program about ADHD from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Thurmont Primary School, 7989 Rocky Ridge Road. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 . Reservations are required for dinner and/or childcare for children older than 4. Jason Barth of Frederick Memorial Hospital will discuss ways to make life more manageable for all concerned with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

The program is co-sponsored by Families Plus and Catoctin Area Community Agency School Services. Child Care Choices continued training credit is available to Maryland child care providers. Training credit is also available for foster parents.

Asthma and allergies seminar



Partners in Pediatrics announces a free seminar for parents about asthma and allergies in children. The free seminar will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at 303 W. Memorial Blvd., near City Park in Hagerstown. Dr. Bruce Weneck will give parents information about wheezing, hayfever and asthma in children.

There also will be a bonus presentation concerning CPR for infants and children. The seminar is free.

Autism Q&A



Brook Lane is announcing its 60th Anniversary Celebration with a special coffee and dessert event. There will be autism questions and answers with Jacob Greenspan and Tim Bleeker from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Otterbein United Methodist Church on the corner of Locust and Franklin streets, Hagerstown.

This program is designed for family members of an autistic individual and for those who work with autism. The event is free. To register, call 301-733-0331, ext. 189.
