GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Pauline C. Cosey Miller, 94, of 9191 Rabbit Road, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at her home.

Born May 5, 1914, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Alvey and Bertha Cook Cosey.

Her husband, James E. Miller Sr., died Nov. 14, 1991. They were married July 30, 1932.

She attended Greencastle-Antrim High School.

In her early years, Mrs. Miller was employed as a presser at Stanley Company, Chambersburg, Pa.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, Coseytown, Pa.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Eberly and Connie L. Ponton, both of Greencastle, one son, John A. Miller of Greencastle; one sister, Thelma Musselman of Mercersburg, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; one son, James E. Miller Jr.; and two brothers, Raymond Cosey and Charles R. Cosey.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, Coseytown. The Rev. John W. Shubert will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the services Tuesday in the church.

Arrangements are by Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle.
