OCT. 27, 1950-APRIL 5, 2009

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Rolinda "Lennie" Boyer Sweitzer, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on April 5, 2009, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. She was the beloved wife for 21 years to Donald Robert Sweitzer Jr.

Born on Oct. 27, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Mary Summers Cline. She was the sister of the late Janice V. Lidie.

After her first husband passed away, Mrs. Sweitzer raised her two children. Mrs. Sweitzer was the loving mother to Dawn Metz of Hedgesville and Douglas Boyer and wife, Rachel, of Brunswick, Md. Lennie was a devoted grandmother to Kayin, Jordyn, Jaiden, Devonte, Javon and Ivory. Lennie's best buddy in the world was her first grandson, Kayin. They were inseparable. He helped her through many rough times during her illnesses when she was cared for at home. He stayed by her side every minute he could and their bond will never be broken. Her granddaughter Jordyn also holds a special bond and place in her heart because she has lived with Lennie and has helped care for her as well during all her ill times. She loved to spend time with all her grandchildren, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed her vacations and fishing each year when she went to see her nephews and their family, Thomas and Michael Lidie.

She was employed at Wolters Kluwer as a data entry specialist. Lennie was a very loving, caring, independent person who battled disabilities her whole life and served as a huge inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. She was a strong and courageous woman and will be missed by many.

She is also survived by brother, Perry Schell and wife, Joan, of West Virginia; and sister, Wanda Boone and husband, Butch, of Frederick, Md.; her stepmother, Norma Cline of Williamsport, Md.; nephews, Thomas Lidie Jr. and Michael Lidie; and countless other friends and family.
