April 01, 2009

FREDERICK, Md. -- A black truck was weaving in and out of lanes on Interstate 270 Wednesday morning when it cut in front of a Subaru Legacy, forcing the car off the road and into a guardrail, according to Maryland State Police.

The driver of the truck left the scene and state police said anyone who saw the 10:42 a.m. crash may call them at 301-600-4150 to provide information, according to a news release.

The driver of the Subaru was thrown into the windshield when the car hit the guardrail in the southbound lane at the 31-mile marker, state police said.

The driver and a passenger were transported for medical evaluation but their conditions were not available.

Witnesses said the black truck, which had a Maryland registration and a Washington Redskins sticker on the back, was weaving in and out of lanes, police said.
