Kendrick Frank Fields, 66, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at his home.

Born Dec. 25, 1942, in Watertown, N.Y., he was the son of the late Frank William and Barbara Vivienne Smith Fields.

He graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, N.Y., in 1961, and Albany (N.Y.) College of Pharmacy in 1969.

He was employed by CVS in Hagerstown.

He was a corpsman in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian A. O'Brien Bartlett Fields, whom he married in 1980; one stepdaughter, Kelly S. Sharpe of San Jose, Calif.; two stepsons, Rick L. Bartlett and Jamie L. Bartlett, both of Canton, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Symonds.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
