GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Marie C. Clopper Belter, 61, of 5579 Royer Road, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.
Born March 26, 1948, in Mercersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Eva Gordon Pittman.
Her first husband, Richard L. Clopper, died Feb. 9, 2007.
She was last employed at Uni Mart of Mercersburg.
She was a member of Cedar Lawn Missionary Church of Hagerstown, where she had served as deaconess, greeter, custodian and a member of Fellowship Circle.
She is survived by her second husband, Ernest H. Belter Jr., whom she married May 15, 2008; one daughter, Teresa A. Gorman of Greencastle; one son, Rodney L. Pittman of Greencastle; two brothers, Roger Pittman of Mercersburg and Cleatus Pittman of Mt. Union, Pa.; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
