Rhoderick honored at Holstein convention

BEL AIR, Md. - Arthur Rhoderick of Art Acres Farm in Hagerstown was the winner of the distinguished service award at the Maryland Holstein Convention March 13 and 14 at the St. Mary Magdalen Mission.

Rhoderick developed Art Acres Elevation Kay, which was at one time the highest index cow in Maryland. Rhoderick sold more than 20 bulls to service and had more high-ranking bulls than any other U.S. breeder.

He served as president, vice president and past president of the Maryland Holstein Association and continues to serve as ex-officio member of the board of directors. He was inducted into the Maryland Dairy Shrine in 2007.
