Edison L. Rudisill, 68, of Cristins Circle, formerly of Hunter Hill Drive in Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born on Sept. 15, 1940, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Grace Louise (Schaff) Rudisill.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He had worked as a maintenance supervisor at the Hunter Hill Apartments in Hagerstown.

Edison was a member of the North American Rod and Gun Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Louise (Gossard) Rudisill, who passed away in 2002.

Edison is survived by a son, Steven, and wife, Lorie Rudisill, of Hagerstown; a daughter, Natalie DeLargy of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Janet, and husband, Harry Jones, of Hagerstown; a brother, Howard, and wife, Lois Rudisill, of Laurel, Md.; five granddaughters, Amber Rudisill, Emily, Amanda, Mary Lauren and Abby DeLargy; and two stepgrandsons, Justin DeHart and Ron Dibert.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Rudisill was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Rudisill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
