Greetings, neighbors

Saturday looks like a time to brush off your Easter bonnet and participate in some seasonal activities.

Easter bazaar

St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 53 N. Main St. in Keedysville, will host its annual Easter bazaar and bake sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Items offered include soups, sandwiches, baked goods, Easter candy, ceramics, baskets and raffles.

Easter egg hunt

The community is invited to an Easter egg hunt at Boonsboro Bible Church Saturday at 11 a.m. in the churchyard. Children through sixth grade can search for eggs, while families enjoy crafts, prizes and lunch. There is no cost to attend.

Chicken barbecue

The Boonsboro Fire Co. will hold its first chicken barbecue of the year Saturday. It will cost $6 per half chicken.

Basket bingo

Looking to next week, a Good Friday basket bingo will be Friday, April 10, at the Boonsboro Fire Department, 5 Saint Paul St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20, and additional tip jars and raffles will be sold. Outside refreshments are not permitted; however, food and drinks will be available for purchase. For more information, call Jessie at 240-313-3907.

Happy birthday, Brenda and Paula.
