'Buck' Cline turns 86 with party

WILLIAMSPORT - Harry "Buck" Cline turned 86 Saturday as his grandaughters Mikayla and Alexis Cline presented him with birthday gifts.

A celebration was held at the home of his son, Mike Cline.

Buck Cline is a World War II veteran who served with the 475th infantry group under the command of Gen. Stillwell in the Pacific Theatre in India, Burma and China.

The Republic of China awarded Pvt. Cline with a medal of commendation for his service during the war.

A native of Downsville, Buck Cline has been a resident of Williamsport for more than 60 years and said he is proud to call Williamsport his home town.
