ODENTON, Md. - Jarvis M. Henson, 92, who lived with his daughter in Odenton, and formerly of 305 E. Madison St., Greencastle, Pa., died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center in Annapolis.
Born June 28, 1916, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary Lum Henson.
His wife, H. Leona Bryan Henson, died July 23, 1997. They were married July 16, 1938.
He was the owner and operator for many years of the former Henson's Bakery of Greencastle, retiring in 1990.
He was a self-employed photographer and served as the town photographer for many years in Greencastle.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greencastle.
He is survived by three daughters, Judy Dilcher of Glen Mills, Pa., Beverly Moxley of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., and Emily Smalt of Odenton; one sister, Betty Gossard of Willow Street, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
