WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Wilson Hayes Seville, 89, of Waynesboro, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at his home.

Born June 14, 1919, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late David E. and Rosetta Carbaugh Seville, and a stepson of the late Emma M. Seville Brandt.

He was in the ministry for the past 70 years. The last church that he ministered was the former Waynesboro Church of God.

He was a member of Church of God of Cleveland, Tenn.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hazel M. Dyott Seville; four daughters, Carolyn B. Moffitt, Marilyn Y. McAtee and Brenda F. Kessinger, all of Chambersburg, Pa., and Evelyn M. Dingle of Waynesboro; one half sister, Stella M. Mellott of Mercersburg, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.


He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Seville; one stepsister, Pauline Monn; one stepbrother, David E. Seville Jr.; one half sister, Olive Cisney; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Full Gospel Church, Waynesboro. The Revs. Richard Heinbaugh, John McAtee and James Hodges will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Viewing will be one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers.
