CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kenneth L. Caufman, 89, formerly of 1053 Marion Road, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Manorcare Health Services.
Born Dec. 22, 1919, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Samuel and Fannie Landis Caufman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Bless Caufman, in 2007. They were married Oct. 25, 1940.
He was a dairy farmer and worked for H.J. Heinz in Chambersburg.
He was a member of Greencastle (Pa.) Church of God.
He is survived by two children, Kenneth E. Caufman and L. Joanne Tarner, both of Chambersburg; one sister, Bertha Lehman of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Doris M. Caufman; and one brother, Martin Caufman.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg. The Rev. Floyd Myers will officiate. Burial will follow in Chambersburg Mennonite Church Cemetery.
