Washington Square United Methodist Church, rear of 538 Washington Ave., an all-you-can-eat pancake/sausage breakfast will be today from 7 to 10 a.m. Tickets cost $5.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 51 S. Main St., Smithsburg, the Rev. Michael Manthos will speak Tuesday at the noon Lenten services, followed by a bring-your-own-bag luncheon. Event is sponsored by the Smithsburg Area Church Association (SACA).

Salem Lutheran Church, Fairplay, Wednesday Lenten services will be in Brill Fellowship Hall with soup at 6 p.m. and worship at 7 p.m.

Trinity Reformed UCC, South Potomac Street, Boonsboro, the Md. 34 Lenten series is Wednesday at 7 p.m. The theme for the series is "Bread for the Journey." This week's topic is "Abundant Bread."

Virginia Avenue Church of God, 17306 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, the annual presentation of "His Story" will be today, Sunday, and April 3 and 4 at 7 p.m. For information, call 301-582-2243.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 802 Summit Ave. Hagerstown, will host a spring ham and turkey dinner today from 2 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available in advance and at the door. Adult tickets cost $9.50 and tickets for children ages 6 to 10 cost $3.

Berkeley Springs (W.Va.) High School, Christ Night 2009 will be today at 7 p.m. Keith Elias, a former NFL player who now mentors youths on drugs and alcohol, will be keynote speaker. Music will be provided by the Living Room Praise Band. Event is sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
