St. Peter's to hold bazaar, bake sale



St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 53 N. Main St., Keedysville, will hold an Easter bazaar and bake sale Saturday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, April 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. Homemade soups, sandwiches, pies, cakes, Easter candy, ceramics, Easter baskets and raffles will be available.

Sharpsburg parade seeks participants



Anyone interested in participating in the Sharpsburg Memorial Day Parade, call Town Hall at 301-432-4428. The parade will start at 1 p.m. May 23.

Reunion Trio to sing at Antietam Church



Antietam Church of God, 4005 Harpers Ferry Road, invites everyone to Sunday School Palm Sunday, April 5 to hear the Southern gospel singing group Reunion Trio at 9:30 a.m.

Master Gardeners to teach class in April



Washington County Master Gardeners will teach a basic vegetable gardening class Saturday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center on Sharpsburg Pike.

The six-hour Veggie 101 class will teach participants how to prepare the soil, pick easy-to-grow crops and start vegetables from seeds or small plants. The cost for the Veggie 101 class is $20. Registration is required. You can register in person at the Extension office in the Ag Center or get a registration form by mail by sending a self-addressed stamped No. 10 business envelope to: Veggie 101, Maryland Cooperative Extension, 7303 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. The Veggie 101 class will be repeated on Thursday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Class size is limited to 25 students. The registration deadline is one week before the class date. Sharpsburg Lions plan Easter egg hunt



The annual Sharpsburg Lions Club's Easter egg hunt will be Easter Sunday at the Little League field in Sharpsburg at 2 p.m. All Sharpsburg children ages 12 and younger are invited to participate.

The Lions Club will hold its regular meetings April 2 and April 16 at the Den at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 209 W. Main St., Sharpsburg.
