MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - F. Wayne LeHew, 65, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at his home.

Born May 22, 1943, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late James B. LeHew and Rosalie Kershner LeHew.

He was a retired department head at Corning Glass for more than 37 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va., where he was chairman of the elders.

He was a baseball coach for Martinsburg Little League and Heritage Academy in Hagerstown, and a basketball coach with the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation League.

He is survived by his wife, Terri D. Zimmerman LeHew; one daughter, Jamie L. LeHew of Martinsburg; one son, Timothy W. LeHew of Inwood, W.Va.; two sisters, Carol Creek of Martinsburg and Aleta Eilerman of Florida; two brothers, David LeHew and Roger LeHew, both of Inwood; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.


A memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, Shenandoah Junction. Pastor Van Marsceau will officiate. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Bible Church, 160 Daniel Road, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442.
