Dog valued at $1,700 stolen from Chambersburg pet shop



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- A woman took a $1,700 Pug dog Tuesday from The Pet Shop, 1710 Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

The dog was described as tan, and weighing about 4.5 pounds, troopers said in a news release.

The woman was described as white, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 185 pounds, and has red hair, troopers said.

Incidents reported in Washington County



The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded recently to the following incidents, according to Sgt. Roy Harsh:

Monday, March 23:

o At 11:39 a.m., assault was reported in the 18600 block of Carolyn Street.

o At 1:08 p.m., credit card offenses were reported from the 11300 block of Youngstoun Drive.

o At 1:36 p.m., theft from a vehicle was reported in the 18300 block of Lyles Drive.

o At 1:43 p.m., theft was reported in the area of Londontowne. Someone took a leaf blower.

o At 1:46 p.m., shoplifting was reported at the Dollar General store, 1423 Dual Highway.

o At 2:06 p.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 13400 block of Marsh Pike. Someone keyed a vehicle.

o At 4:06 p.m., prescription fraud was reported at Martin's Food Market, 18726 North Pointe Drive. Someone was arrested by Maryland State Police for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

o At 5:20 p.m., breaking and entering was reported in the 18900 block of Preston Road.

o at 7:43 p.m., theft from a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Prime Outlet Boulevard.

o At 9:38 p.m., fleeing and eluding police was reported.

Tuesday, March 24:

o At 6:21 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported at the Maugans Avenue Car Wash. Someone damaged vending machines.

o At 4:25 p.m., stolen property was recovered in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

o At 4:33 p.m., theft was reported in the 300 block of Woodpoint Avenue. Someone took a cell phone.

o At 6:41 p.m., theft was reported in the 300 block of Hebb Road. Someone took a four-wheeler.

o At 8:13 p.m., theft was reported in the 11000 block of Hickory School Road. Someone took a radio from a vehicle.

o At 10:05 p.m., theft was reported at Hot Topic, 17301 Valley Mall Road. Someone took a wallet.

Wednesday, March 25:

o At 2:47 a.m., concealed weapons violations were reported in the area of Leitersburg Pike and Longmeadow Road.

o At 3:08 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 100 block of Virginia Avenue in Hancock. Someone damaged a windshield and slashed tires.
