Anita Louise Mariotti, 68, of 13023 Little Hayden Circle, Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, March 21, at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was a tenderhearted, kind person who touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Born Jan. 27, 1941, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Amerigo John and Ruth Combs Mariotti.

She was retired from Washington County Hospital.

She was a member of St. James Brethren Church.

She is survived by two sons, Andrew Johns of Hagerstown and Mark Lambert of Discovery Bay, Calif.; one grandson, Raymond Johns; and niece and nephew, Kimberly Weir Mariotti and Gary Mariotti.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Mariotti.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Brian H. Moore and the Rev. Steve Hook will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.

Anita and her sons, Mark and Andrew, would like to express their deepest gratitude to her physicians, caregivers, friends and family members who provided care, kindness and love throughout her illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
