FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Paul Barnhart Sr., 86, of Front Royal, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
Born Dec. 28, 1922, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Henry Clinton and Gertrude Viola Timmons Barnhart.
He retired as a commercial salesman from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Bennett's Chapel United Methodist Church in Front Royal.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Barnhart; seven children, Paul Barnhart Jr., Leonard Barnhart and Betty Spilman, all of Front Royal, David Barnhart of Browntown, Va., Marylou Stottlemyer of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Paula McKusker of Little Orleans, Md., and Patricia Street of Bayse, Va.; one sister, Clara Norris of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
