The Rev. Noel Lee Huffman passed this life to receive his final reward on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

He entered this life on Jan. 13, 1924, in Beckley, W.Va. He was the son of the late Lewis Winton Huffman and Dolly Edna Basham Huffman.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Gersye Richmond; and six brothers, Carson, Cramer, Gelvie, Lawrence, Buford and Tedford Huffman.


He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ina Mae Adkins Huffman. They had three children - one son, Clarence and wife, Stephanie, of Hagerstown, Md.; one daughter, Eleanor Huffman of Martinsburg, and one daughter, Cynthia Williams and husband, Hayden, of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Huffman has been an ordained minister since 1955. He was the associate pastor of the Baltimore Revival Center for 4 1/2 years. He built a new church in Fairmont, W.Va., where he pastored for 12 years. He came to the Hagerstown area in 1970, where he has pastored for the past 39 years. His last pastorate was where he founded and pastored Woodpoint Christian Chapel since 1992.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, with the Revs Chuck Donivan, Mike Miller, Charles Getz and James Fetter officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
