Deputies report a number of thefts from vehicles



The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded  to the following incidents:

Thursday, March 19:

  • At 1:18 a.m., disorderly juveniles were reported in the 12000 block of Independence Road

  • At 1:33 a.m., assault was reported in the 14000 block of MacAfee Hill Road.

  • At 2:23 a.m., two juveniles were charged in connection with some vehicle break-ins in the area of Lincolnshire School.

  • At 6:09 a.m., theft of a stereo from a vehicle was reported in the 11200 block of Greenmount Avenue.

  • At 7:44 a.m., theft of a briefcase from a vehicle was reported in the 11200 block of Hollywood Road. 

  • At 8:15 a.m., theft of a GPS device from a vehicle was reported in the 10800 block of Oak Forest Drive. 

  • At 9:35 a.m., theft of CDs from a vehicle was reported in the 10900 block of Tennebrook Road. 

  • At 9:57 a.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 19300 block of Leitersburg Pike.

  • At 11:06 a.m., trespassing was reported in the 13300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

  • At 12:05 p.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the unit block of Main Street in Smithsburg. A vehicle was keyed.

  • At 4:33 p.m., theft of a radio from a vehicle was reported in the 10900 block of Rosewood Drive. 

  • At 4:58 p.m., breaking and entering was reported at a garage in the 5100 block of Western Pike.

  • At 6:02 p.m., theft of bowling equipment was reported in the 17600 block of Stone Valley Drive. 

  • At 7:40 p.m., trespassing was reported in the area of Primrose Lane.

  • At 8:53 p.m., theft of a Playstation was reported in the 11500 block of Robinwood Drive.

  • At 11:12 p.m., disorderly conduct was reported in the 16900 block of Reading Drive.

    Friday, March 20:

o At 12:26 a.m., theft of DVDs was reported in the unit block of Edgewood Drive. 

o At 5:41 a.m., theft of electronic equipment from vehicles was reported in the area of Bonnie Briar Lane. S

Hagerstown police probe incidents



Hagerstown police responded recently to the following incidents:

Tuesday, March 17:

  • At 3:54 p.m., attempted theft was reported at 1519 Potomac Ave.

    Wednesday, March 18:

  • At 10 p.m., property was found in the 400 block of North Burhans Boulevard.

    Thursday, March 19:

  • At 6:36 p.m., a BB gun was confiscated in the 1000 block of Noland Drive.
