INWOOD, W.Va. - Avanell D. Heironimus, 66, of Inwood, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born May 15, 1942, in Braxton County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Vinton Parson and Tabitha Jane Knight Skidmore.

She graduated from Sutton (W.Va.) High School.

She was a beautician and an instructor at Winchester (Va.) Beauty School.

She attended Grace Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Heironimus; one daughter, Pamela J. Hickerson of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; three sons, Charles C. Heironimus of Glengary, W.Va., Chris D. Heironimus of Bunker Hill and Craig W. Heironimus of Martinsburg; two sisters, Opal M. Dodrill of Erbacon, W.Va., and Linda L. Sievers of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Kenneth B. Skidmore of Buffalo, N.Y., and Samuel N. Skidmore of Sutton; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Greenwood United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The Revs. Craig W. Heironimus and James Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Church Cemetery.


The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs.
