WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Lois J. Fox Snively, 55, of 14 E. Seventh St., died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born Oct. 27, 1953, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Hazel "Woody" Fox of Westminster, Md., and the late Earl Fox.

She attended Franklin High School in Reisterstown, Md.

She was employed for 25 years as a bartender by Cascade American Legion Post 239.

She attended Rouzerville (Pa.) United Methodist Church.

She also was a member of Cascade American Legion Post 239 Ladies Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles 1758 of Waynesboro and Blue Ridge Sportsmen's Association of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.


She is survived by three daughters, Sheila K. Snively of Westminster, and Donya J. Brown and Lacey D. Florek, both of Waynesboro; two sisters, Nancy Fox and Glenda Shipley, both of Westminster; three brothers, Dewey Fox of Marion, N.C., Wayne Fox of Glen Rock, Pa., and Gary Fox of Westminster; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Pastor Heather Hughes will officiate. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, South Central Pennsylvania Chapter, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
