WILLIAMSPORT - SueAnn Sullivan, 79, of Williamsport, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born May 31, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter Theodore and Ruth Elizabeth Constable Cunningham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Joseph Sullivan, in 1968.

She was a graduate of Brush Valley (Pa.) School, attended Indiana (Pa.) University and was a graduate of Clarion State Teachers College.

She was employed at Johns Hopkins University Research Center in Hagerstown as a research assistant, retiring in 1994.

She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport.

She served on the board of the Williamsport Library, was a member of Federal C&O Canal Commission, served on the Williamsport C&O Canal Association, and was a member of the Washington County Historical Society and the Singer Society of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, where she served as a docent.


She is survived by her companion, Robert W. Cline of Williamsport; one daughter, Sandra S. Graff of Boonsboro; six sons, David J. Sullivan of Roanoke, Va., Donald L. Sullivan of North East, Md., Patrick J. Sullivan of Milford, Mass., Paul T. Sullivan of Reading, Pa., Richard T. Sullivan of Hagerstown and Stuart P. Sullivan of Downingtown, Pa.; two brothers, T. Richard Cunningham of Roanoke and William C. Cunningham of Homer City, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, which will be open after 9 a.m.
