GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Eva Catherine Stoner, 82, of 2640 Williamson Road, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born April 7, 1926, in Six Mile Run, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Earl D. and Edna P. Jenkins Souders.

Her husband, Clyde W. Stoner, died in 2003. They were married June 2, 1945.

She worked in quality control for Musselmans in Peach Glen, Pa.

She attended Ebenezer (Guitners) United Brethren Church in Greencastle.

She was a member of Chambersburg AMVETS, McConnellsburg (Pa.) VFW and Mercersburg (Pa.) American Legion.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia J. Daley of Greencastle and Lucille Sellers of Chambersburg; three sons, Glen C. Stoner and Jeffrey E. Stoner, both of Greencastle, and Dale L. Stoner of St. Thomas, Pa.; one brother, Joe L. Souders of McConnellsburg; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters; and one grandson.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. David G. Rawley will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
