Church's pancake day raises $2K for Habitat

First Christian Church held its annual Pancake Day Feb. 7 to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Washington County.

The event drew hundreds and resulted in a $2,000 donation to Habitat. The breakfast was organized by Michael Stewart and the Outreach Committee of First Christian Church.

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. It is a ministry that seeks to eliminate substandard housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
