HANCOCK - The Hancock Arts Council will host two events, including one today, said Sinclair Hamilton, chairman of the arts council and a Hancock town councilman.

The second annual Tea Dance will be today at 3 p.m. at the Hancock Community Center.

The event will feature the Tri-State Big Band and Hancock Waltz Kings performing dance music.

A $5 donation is recommended for the dance.

Light refreshments, including tea and cookies, will be served.

The arts council also will host the third annual Evening in Hancock Friday, April 17, at 6 p.m. at the Park-n-Dine restaurant.

The event will feature a dinner buffet and a variety of entertainment, including music and poetry readings.

Tickets cost $30 and seating is limited to 100 people. Tickets will go on sale next week at Hancock Town Hall.

Proceeds from the dinner will go toward improvements for the Community Center stage and performance area.
