WILLIAMSPORT - Thelma Irene Jackson, 88, of 16505 Virginia Ave., Williamsport, Md., died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Homewood Nursing Home in Williamsport.

Born July 10, 1920, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Lucinda Lynn Sigler.

She was a member of Greencastle Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris Sharer of Clear Spring, Md. and Loretta Montgomery Long of Hagerstown; devoted friend, Judie Harper of Hagerstown; two sons, Marlin George Jackson of Carlisle, Pa. and Daniel Milford Golden of Hagerstown; one brother, Maurice Sylvester Sigler of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Milford Golden in 1956; her second husband, George McClellan Jackson on Aug. 30, 2003; five sisters, Elizabeth Susan Ogden, Ida Regina Forrest, Pauline Tracy, Anna Sigler and Mary Sigler; four brothers, Charles Sigler, John Sigler, Robert Lee Sigler and Glenn Watson Sigler; and one granddaughter, Julie Golden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Leon Yoder will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
