Two men detained for indecent exposure



FREDERICK, Md. - Two men were charged with indecent exposure Saturday morning following an incident at the eastbound rest area along Interstate 70 near Mount Airy, according to a press release from Maryland State Police in Frederick.

Carlos A. Alves, 55, of Hamilton, Va., and Michael Scott Butts, 45, of Hagerstown, were arrested, then released to Frederick County central booking to appear before a district court commissioner, police said.

A state police trooper on patrol Saturday reported he noticed "suspicious activity" at the portable restrooms about 11:15 a.m., then saw sexual activities involving the two men, police said.

Girl escapes from detention facility



WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Police are seeking a 16-year-old girl who escaped Thursday from a juvenile detention facility in Warfordsburg, according to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Dainara Guzman opened the window of her room at VisionQuest at 444 Plessinger Road and jumped from the building Thursday about 1 a.m., police said.

The girl fled on foot and might have traveled to Harrisburg, Pa., where she has family ties, police said.

Dainara is about 5 feet tall and weighs about 105 pounds, police said. She last was seen wearing a blue sweat shirt and blue jeans, police said.

Investigating trooper Shawn Fabian said Saturday the girl had been staying at the facility through a court order.
