Robert Davidson Logan Jr., 88, of Hagerstown, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital.

Born on Nov. 16, 1920, in Hanover, N.H., he was the son of the late Robert D. and Florence (Wilkinson) Logan.

He attended West Virginia University.

Robert served as a pilot in the Naval Air Corps during World War II.

He was a member of Cutting Edge Ministries in Hagerstown.

He retired as a supervisor of liaison engineering at Fairchild, in Hagerstown.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Morris Frock Post No. 42; Quiet Birdmen Association, both in Hagerstown; a lifetime member of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International; Brevard Lodge No. 113, F.&A.M. of Cocoa, Fla., and was also a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Hagerstown Forest No. 95.


Robert is survived by his loving wife, Lois M. (Fiery) Logan; two daughters, Sue Logan Myers and husband Richard M. of Stuarts Draft, Va., Barbara Lynn Logan Hunt and husband Wayne W. of Cumming, Ga.; two brothers, Howard W. Logan of Lebanon, N.H., Malcolm D. Logan of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; grandson, David W. Hunt and wife Jennifer; granddaughter, Andrea Myers Burkholder and husband Ray; grandson, Matthew R. Myers and wife Lisa; great-grandson, Christopher J. Hunt; great-granddaughter, Anna E. Burkholder; and great-grandson, Nathaniel "Nate" L. Burkholder.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cutting Edge Ministries, 32 East Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
